Illustration Symposium.
I recently attended the final day of the Shadow Play Illustration Symposium in Cardiff. Beforehand I only had a rudimentary idea of what a Symposium actually was. When I submitted my 700 word abstract based loosely on the themes of “pictures” and “why they’re great” I truly didn’t expect to be selected to present a paper on the 4th of November.

Concluding thoughts for Personal...
During this project I focused on the human aspect of my collection: items which had been handmade, discarded postcards, photographs etc. So it seemed only natural to concentrate on the hypothetical plight of an individual. During this projected I explored the possibilities of many different book designs based on the phrase “I have not seen you in ages”. This phrase was heavily influenced by my collections project which deals with the notion of people becoming forgotten and neglected things. Collections Project - Forgotten Things
This suitcase, itself a charity shop find, is full of forgotten and neglected items. This is my collection.
